The common enemy of all religious disciplines, the target of all moral precepts
laid down by the great teachers of mankind, is 8elfiBhness. It 18 this that gives
rise to ignorance, anger and passion, which are at the root of all the troubles
of the world. The great teachers wanted to lead their followers away from the path
of negative deeds caused by ignorance and to introduce them to the path of righteousness.
They are all in agreement that in this the prime necessity is to control the undisciplined
mind which harbours selfishness.
While we can easily ascribe superficial disparities of religious doctrine and expression
to differences of time, place, culture, and so forth, by concentrating on the actual
practice of each individual devotee, we will discover that we share similar aims.
Through the actual practice of kind heartedness and respect for others in daily
life, we can well fulfil the aim of all religions, whatever our denomination. If
we apply such simple precepts, not merely in relation to our families and friends,
but towards all humanity and sentient beings in general, we will be able to lay
a firm foundation for lasting peace in the world.
I, therefore, welcome this book The World Order of Holistic Unity.

Today humanity caught in its own web of complexity faces a moral and spiritual crisis.
Man, the crown of creation, 'noble in reason, infinite in faculty, admirable in
form' looks desperate, dejected and depressed. Physically broken and mentally shattered,
a slave to his gnawing desires and a victim to his sensory pleasures, he has become
schizophrenic, a split personality. As never before, there is an urgent need to
find a remedy for his malady.
Swami Vethathiri Maharishi in this little volume suggests a miracle cure for the
ills of the mankind and offers a blue print towards a holistic world order which
ensures a better and brighter tomorrow. With his commendable insight into the secrets
of the universe-its birth, its structure, its mystery and its majesty - he explains
lucidly the concepts of Static state and Dynamic state and gives a graphic description
of how the energy particle, the fundamental building block of the Cosmos, inherits
a tinge of consciousness from the zero state and acts as a bridge between the Absolute
state and the observable physical universe.
According to Swamiji, magnetism holds the key to the secrets of the universe; its
all-pervasive and penetrating nature is incredible; its sweep awe-inspiring; and
its sway over the entire cosmos unsurpassed.
Science, in a short span of hundred years, has transformed the human life in all
its facets. It has raised the standard of life, increased life-expectancy, discovered
miracle drugs, reduced drudgery, revolutionised the transport and communication.
But it has also brought in its train a plethora of evils the greatest of which is
the creation of Frankenstein of nuclear war. Thus laments Bertrand Russell "We are
perhaps living in the last age of man and if so, it is to science that he will owe
his extinction."
Science can denature plutonium but it cannot denature evil in the heart of man.
'Only spirituality, the science of the soul 'observes Swamiji 'can achieve that
miracle'. In his opinion, an integrated know-ledge of the world without and within
alone holds the promise of peace and prosperity to the world battered badly by international
wars and individual psychic distortions.
'Human existence’ says Swamij' is only the journey of consciousness towards the
goal of self-realisation'.
Every soul is potentially divine and the goal is to manifest the divinity within.
In his last days Dr. Einstein said:
"I have systematically studied countless stars in the universe, millions of miles
away, but I have failed to study the star closest to me, that is myself. My life
has become a waste".
If every individual realises that the kingdom of God is within him and acts accordingly,
then to him, in the words of Swami Vivekananda, "Power will come, glory will come,
goodness will come, purity will come, and everything that is excellent will come
Yogiraj Vethathiri Maharishi beautifully outlines twelve cardinal principles which
make the human life virtuous, peaceful and blissful, and gives practical tips to
contain anger, to eliminate greed, to analyse thoughts and to moralise desires.
These Principles, if followed scrupulously. I am sure, would transform every individual
into a New man, indebted to the society, committed to a virtuous life, free from
fears and superstitions, radiating warmth and affection, and creating happiness
and harmony all around.

The living process of mankind is the journey of Consciousness towards the goal of
Realization of Self and Truth. In the primitive age, man lived in the same pattern
as other living beings, enjoying the natural resources as they were. His sixth sense
was latent without showing the significance of its greater value for a long time
in the evolutionary history.
The experiences of pain and pleasure sensations and observances of natural functions
and beauties, kindled his potential knowledge of the sixth sense. He started giving
artistic beauties and artificial shapes to the natural resources in enjoying happiness
in life. In this effort he had to face several problems by the conflicts and competition
with his fellow beings and the reactions and consequential results in the use and
enjoyment of materials and commodities. He was instinctively compelled to follow
some moral codes in life to avoid such difficulties. It became necessary to restrict
his thoughts and deeds to follow Morality, Duty, and Charity to maintain harmony
in the society. He started practising limits and methods in dealing with and enjoying
the materials and commodities.
Understanding of these noble principles of life and follow-up by all people of the
society was found to be imperative. With thoughtful compassion, the men of wisdom
who got the revelation of Truth compiled all the purposeful moral codes and worthy
disciplines as Virtues of life. Such self-realized saints, with their benediction,
also demonstrated the process of developing consciousness step by step through three
stages:
1) Faith 2) understanding and 3) realization of Self and Truth. This system of developing
consciousness became Worship of God.
These two noble principles of life: 1) the Virtuous Way of Living with discipline
of deeds to maintain harmony, friendship, and peace in the society and 2) The Worship
of God to develop one's Consciousness from fraction to totality became religion.
Although, among religions, there are some differences in the rituals related to
the practice of Virtues and Worship of God, the core and goal of all the religions
are the same. As time passed on, the real meanings and scientific bases of religions
have heen forgotten. Therefore, conflicts between the followers of religion have
developed, which disturbs the peace and harmony in human life.
Now the time has come for the unification of the whole human society into one world
community to enjoy peaceful life. The population has drastically increased. Advancement
of sciences has brought quick communication and transportation facilities. The whole
world is united in economics by exchanging all the 'commodities and facilities.
The modern scientific education, by revealing natural truths, has brought mankind
nearer to the enlightenment of consciousness and universal brotherhood. The religious
conflicts also should be solved by raising the consciousness of the human society
by understanding the true meaning and purpose of all the religions. To help mankind
know the philosophy of nature, I have brought out the Theory of Unified Force to
bring the philosophies and sciences together.
In reality, the Supreme Universal being, which is known as God by all the religions
of the world, is functioning in all the inanimate and in all living beings as Consciousness.
Further whichever form, concept, or character anyone worships as God, he is really
worshiping his own consciousness, transforming it into such a form, concept or character.
Actually all are worshipping their own consciousness as God, because God is the
Consciousness, manifested as the natural order of function in all inanimate objects
and as psychic phenomenon, mind in all living beings. When a majority of humanity
is enlightened with this truth, all will reach the centre point of religion. This
will, in due course eliminate all the imaginary differences between people on the
concept of God and in the method of worship.
In the life of mankind there are three main fields, i.e. politics, economics, and
religion. Unity in politics is gradually emerging through the establishment of the
United Nations. Unity in economics is speedily coming through trade agreements between
nations. We have to create unity in the spiritual field, bringing all the religions
into one unit under a world order of Holistic Unity.
With the noble aim of enlightening man's consciousness to find the unity among all
religions of the world, this small book is being published as a spiritual service
to mankind.
This book, The World Order of Holistic Unity, is humbly dedicated to the revelators,
philosophers, saints, siddhas and socially-minded spiritual leaders who have dedicated
their lives to the emancipation of mankind in the past and at present.
My gratitude and appreciation are due to Arul Nidhis Miss Uma, Mr. Thomas Fitzgerald,
